Job Summary:

The campuses of Tulsa Community College are seeking academically experienced individuals to serve as the instructor of record for our College Success courses during the 2019 Fall and 2020 Spring semesters.

The College Success course introduces new and returning students to the college environment through active practice in developing personal and social strategies to increase involvement in college and community activities and support success in college and in life.

Instructors will guide students through the required curriculum by facilitating activities that introduce and reinforce analysis and application of study techniques, development of educational goals, and completion of a service-learning project.

This position serves as a catalyst in the learning process by presenting course content in an organized and motivating way, keeps current in the chosen field of study, and responds to students as distinct individuals with varied interests, needs, and abilities.

Master's degree in Education, Curriculum/Instruction, Educational Psychology, Educational Technology, Higher Education Administration, Higher Education Student Affairs, Adult Education, School Counseling, Community Counseling, Library Science, World Languages, Liberal Arts, Communication, Social Sciences, Business, Technology, Health Sciences, Mathematics, Science, Human Resources, or Organizational Leadership.

Philosophy compatible with that of a comprehensive urban community college

Preferred Qualifications:

Post-secondary teaching experience.
