    Summary

    The organization's mission is to prepare officers to develop, employ and command air, space and cyberspace power in joint, multinational and interagency operations. The eSchool's curriculum is designed to produce more effective officers serving in the tactical, operational and strategic-level command and staff positions.The aim of this organization is to foster these abilities, to encourage a combination of analytical and practical tools required by leaders charged with the nation's defense.

    Responsibilities

    The Learning Design, Development and Innovation Coordinator will provide graduate-level, distance learning expertise to eSchool faculty and staff. As the eSchool is comprised of interdisciplinary programs requiring a synergy of academic and operational (both military and systems) expertise, the incumbent will team with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and LMS experts to create online curriculum using a design and development process shaped by the ADDIE instructional systems design framework. The Coordinator will leverage industry best practices in instructional design, adult online education, and instructional technologies to guide subject matter experts in creating the strategy, vision, structure, and ultimately the learning solutions that deliver against specific learning objectives. The Coordinator will provide a critical eye to the course review process, ensuring application of online course design best practices that support managed, measured, and effective learning. The Coordinator will advise the Dean, curriculum development department, and other stakeholders on identifying, strategizing, scoping, and creating andragogically-sound and student-centered learning opportunities, both within and outside of eSchool programs/courses. The Coordinator will manage/support the elements of the faculty and staff development program focused on curriculum development by authoring, maintaining, and/or delivering opportunities, resources, and guidance, to include workshops, course design aids, on-the-job training, presentations, and other sessions and events, both formal and informal. The Coordinator will stay current on industry best practices and emerging educational technologies in higher education online environments and recommend ways to, and develop solutions for, incorporating those that are most relevant to the eSchool. The Coordinator will provide administrative support for functions and special projects, as directed, to include service on internal and external committees.
