Job Description

Gamma Technologies, LLC (GT) is looking for a Project and Applications Engineer - Engine with a solid work ethic, excellent judgment, and a desire to build a long-term career with us. You should be highly organized and detail-oriented, with outstanding analytic and problem-solving abilities. Gamma Technologies develops, markets, and sells engineering simulation software called GT-SUITE. GT-SUITE is used by over 600 companies including all leading OEMs around the world. GT-SUITE comprises a state-of-the-art systems simulation solver encompassing libraries of fluid dynamic, mechanical, thermal and electromagnetic sub-models plus a sophisticated set of user interfaces including map-based and 3D-based pre- and post-processors. Our software aids in the design and optimization of products in many industries, including Automotive, Agriculture, Off-Highway Vehicles, Aerospace, Power Generation, Marine and Rail, and Industrial Machinery.

Position Summary

Position supports our engine performance and application team. This team supports customers who are modeling engine airflow, combustion, acoustics and real-time applications. This position offers an outlet for creativity through active participation in the product design and development.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist customers that use our software to design and analyze their systems.
  • Work with new customers and train them to use GT-SUITE.
  • Use customer feedback and interaction to develop specifications for new product features.
  • Design, develop, test and document new product feature.
  • Travel occasionally to conferences and customer locations, including international travel to Europe and sometimes Asia.

Education and Experience

  • MS or BS degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum GPA of 3.5/4.0.
  • New college graduates or experienced engineers are welcome.

Technology Skills

  • Experience with engine/vehicle simulation software and other CAE tools.
  • Experience with internal combustion engines
  • Experience with developing and/or using non-commercial modeling and simulation software
  • Advanced understanding of thermodynamics, combustion, fluid mechanics and/or heat transfer
