Hot Section Engineering (HSE) at Pratt & Whitney is currently looking for a motivated Intern in Methods Engineering to join its team in support of commercial and military gas turbine engines. In HSE, we are responsible for the design, analysis and validation of the Combustor/Diffuser, Turbine, Augmenter and Exhaust systems. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, deployment, and support of game-changing analysis/design tools and processes that enable the efficient design, development, validation, production, implementation and management of advanced and operational engines flying across the globe. As a new member of HSE, you will collaborate with small teams and receive mentoring and coaching from experts and senior engineers in the field.

Experience / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have an interest in the aerospace industry. Understanding and course work in aerodynamics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, structural analysis, CAD modeling, mathematics, computational modeling, coatings, aerospace materials, manufacturing and other topics related to the hot section will be beneficial. Good interpersonal skills are important.
Education / Certifications
Enrollment in a B.S. or M.S. degree program in Engineering is required.
Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is highly preferred.
A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.
