Job Description

The Company

Aster Brands is a multi-brand licensing company that sells steel forms and equipment to local manufacturers in the construction industry. The manufacturers then produce, market, and sell these concrete products in their local markets. We support the manufacturers with engineering resources, marketing tools, and great customer service to help them be successful. Today, there are 160+ manufacturers who license and produce our Redi-Rock, Rosetta Hardscapes, and Pole Base products all over the world.

The Opportunity

Are you passionate about helping customers? Do you like to make an impact on business results? Aster Brands is looking for smart, motivated Market Analyst Interns who are excited to help build something incredible from the ground up.

This position forms the base of our market analytics effort. The projects logged and analyzed will be distributed to our producers, resulting in higher volumes of revenue for both our producers and our organization through royalties. Additionally, our market analysis in open territories will provide the proper context for our Sales Development team to demonstrate the value of the business opportunities to local precasters. This will significantly increase the close rate on our sales initiatives because our prospects can see real projects, drive by sites, and contact specifiers, installers, and owners on the job to see if the product is of interest to them.

If you are looking for an internship focused on making coffee and pushing paper, this is not the job for you. If you are looking to start on the ground floor, be a key member of the team, and work hard to change an industry, then this is the place to be!

As a Market Analyst Intern, you're responsibilities will include:

  • Researching, organizing, and managing leads in our CMD (Construction Market Data) tool
  • Identifying relevant specifiers, installers, and owners associated with key leads
  • Assisting in tracking marketing campaigns to drive more prospects to the sales development team
  • Researching potential partners in key markets for new accounts

Qualifications

  • Ability to work 15-20 hours/week (M-F)
  • Knowledge and experience using Google Suite
  • Ability to work independently and think on your feet
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Pursuing a degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or a similar field
  • Typically, students currently between their Junior and Senior years

This is a Fall 2019 internship that ideally will run from September-December and is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
