Graphic Design Intern

HOURS: 15 Hrs/wk

LOCATION: Orlando, FL

REPORTS TO: Graphic Designer

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Internship

AREAS OF INTEREST: Design, Branding, Photography, Print Materials, Web Graphics, Logos, Indesign, Illustrator, Editing

ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW

Feeding Children Everywhere (FCE) is a non-profit organization that ‘activates people for a hunger-free world'. To date, FCE has distributed over 100 million meals to hungry people across the globe and has mobilized over 600,000 volunteers.

The organization focuses efforts around addressing hunger and the root causes. The program vehicles include:

  • Hunger Projects - high energy corporate, church or civic social responsibility events that mobilize thousands of volunteers across the US to hand-package healthy meals for hungry people

  • Full Cart - a meal delivery service for hard working individuals and families to extend their grocery budget and connect them with life-changing career resources

  • Disaster Relief - a program that activates people to package disaster relief meal kits in immediate response to natural disasters

  • International Development - community transformation projects that include the improvement of education, agriculture, women's health initiatives and economic development

  • Micro-Farming - community farming efforts that make nutrient rich foods accessible in food deserts

POSITION SUMMARY

From creating campaign logos to designing graphics for the web, this position gives the opportunity for you to expand our brand through many different platforms. This internship is ideal for skilled graphic design students or recent graduates who are looking to learn and be challenged by a highly creative work environment, while building a killer portfolio.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

First and foremost, empowering, mobilizing, and connecting with PEOPLE

  • Designing print materials, brochures, banners, postcards, business cards, etc.

  • Preparing print production for all Hunger Project materials

    • Cutting

    • Designing

    • Edging

  • Developing designs for merchandise products: T-shirts, tumblers, iPhone cases, etc.

  • Creating campaign designs & branding logos, website sliders, marketing materials, etc.

  • Leading Hunger Projects

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • YOU'VE GOT THE SKILLS: Extremely proficient in adobe suite, specifically illustrator & inDesign

  • YOU'VE GOT A CREATIVE FLAIR: Strong design style and a portfolio showcasing it! (Required)

  • YOU DON'T MISS A BEAT: Highly attentive to detail, organized and thorough
