The office of Student and Alumni Affairs is hiring a part-time Alumni Relations Coordinator who will work 20 hours per week. This position will be asked to perform the essential functions listed below:

Essential Functions

  • Provide support to the alumni relations program by enhancing the pipeline of engaged alumni.
  • Manage the alumni communication strategy that incorporates campaign messaging, themes, and priorities to programs.
  • Provide coordination to the development of the Alumni Association.
  • Develop strategic alumni activities and assess necessary resources.
  • Identify and plan programs with corporations that employ alumni or those seeking to employ MUIH graduates.
  • Assist in the development of the annual fund campaign by actively identifying, qualifying, cultivating, and soliciting alumni to participate and contribute.
  • Routinely identify and suggest alumni prospects for gifts.
  • Identify and cultivate alumni's participation in the Alumni Grant Scholarship Program.
  • Ensure accurate and complete alumni database records; capture contact, biographical and career information of alumni via surveys, projects (e.g. alumni directory), correspondence, website, postal returns, etc. Oversee the maintenance of accurate records and pertinent information using the development and alumni relations database.
  • Utilize print and electronic media to keep alumni abreast of news and to feature accomplishments of alumni, faculty, and students.
  • Identify, recruit, train, and manage volunteers.
  • With the community culture in mind, employee will serve on committees as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Qualifications


  • Undergraduate Degree


  • Master's Degree
  • Experience as a member of an alumni association, or working with one previously
  • Knowledge of donor relations
