    Responsibilities

    Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases.
    Paid Time Off: 49-54 days paid time off per year (26 days annual leave, 13 days' sick leave, 10 federal holidays).
    Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years' vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA.

    RELOCATION EXPENSES ARE AUTHORIZED AND FUNDED BY PARTICIPATING LOCATIONS: The Department of Veterans Affairs offers Permanent Change of Station (PCS) relocation services. Permanent Change of Station is the relocation of a household due to government convenience in connection with a transfer between duty stations or facilities. Relocation expenses are authorized for this position, however, Appraised Value Offer (AVO), formerly known as the Guaranteed Home Buy Out (GHBO) program, is NOT authorized.     Education and length of practice will be considered through a formal pay-setting process in determining the final compensable salary (Base Pay + Market Pay).

    OTHER RECRUITMENT/RELOCATION INCENTIVE MAY BE AUTHORIZED

    Major duties and responsibilities include:

    • Oversees the MH clinic including timely access to care, optimizing provider productivity and efficiency, and assuring quality of care
    • Ensures practice of care in the clinic is TJC, HIPPA, VA policies and procedures, clinical practice guidelines, national statutes and regulations, medical record documentation, and mandatory continuing education.
    • Oversees and provides guidance for the effective functioning of the interdisciplinary teams in the clinic
    • Participates effectively in team meetings and treatment planning conferences, and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members that enhances coordination of comprehensive patient care.
    • Supervised the Psychiatry Attending in the clinic
    • Provides clinical services in the clinic including psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessment, medication evaluation and management, suicide risk assessments, crisis intervention, and overall care of patients with psychiatric disorders.
    • Participates in supervision and teaching in support of the psychiatric residency program
