Job Description


Frontier Technology Inc. (FTI) is seeking a senior level Analyst to work together with managers, developers, senior technical personnel, and customer user groups to provide business-wide technical leadership and direction in support of the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO) in Washington D.C. The candidate should have working knowledge of the development of technology roadmaps and application of emerging technologies, software solutions in correlation with current and/or emerging DoD/Industry principles, data visualizations, requirements documentation, and process analysis.


  • Work under the supervision of a Program Manager according to company policies and project specifications
  • Technical lead for FTI projects including serving as Principal Investigator for SBIR contracts
  • Evaluate project requirements and determine PHM related technical goals to accomplish required objectives
  • Identify and support maturations of business development opportunities
  • Prepare and provide capabilities presentations and demonstrations
  • Draft SOWs, PWSs, etc. and support contract negotiations as appropriate
  • Participate in the writing of technical proposals
  • Supporting internal business development meetings and activities as required
  • Assist customer with development of technology roadmaps and application of technologies
  • Assess and review proposed PHM software solutions in correlation with current and/or emerging DoD/Industry Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) principles
  • Gather and analyze quantitative and qualitative PHM data inputs and outputs
  • Support the Project Manager in the development and maintenance of project plans
  • Serve as lead analyst on development of FTI proprietary software
  • Provide status reports on technical progress per contract deliverable requirements or as needed to communicate progress to the customer
  • Ensure all technical milestones are completed on schedule
  • Perform installation, configuration, modeling, and testing of government customer systems
  • Analyze, update, and create statistical data-driven models and associated algorithms
  • Gather and analyze quantitative and qualitative data inputs and outputs
  • Must analyze and review existing systems and program logic to become familiar with the existing product features
  • Document manuals, user guides, and/or regular status reports
  • Participates in development processes concerning new applications to meet client needs
  • Provides strategic advice for business processes and solutions
  • Collaborates with business stakeholders to define and document business requirements and with technical staff to develop solution alternatives
  • Understands and applies the system development methodology
  • Communicates status, business impacts, and system and scope changes to team members, business partners, sponsors, management and other interested parties
  • Coordinates issue tracking and resolution
  • Provides guidance for testing strategies, scope and scenarios
  • Works with business and technical staff to perform effective root-cause analysis and resolution
  • Gathers, compiles, interprets and summarizes systems and business process changes; maintains system support tables


  • Bachelor's Degree in Science or Business required
  • Masters, MBA or post-graduate degree in a related field preferred
  • US Citizenship is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for active government security clearance
  • Secret Clearance Required
  • Minimum of 10 Years working with advanced DoD Programs of similar scale, scope and complexity
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams (i.e. project manager, logisticians, engineers, program analyst, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently with geographically dispersed teams
  • Requires ability to analyze complex business problems, perform root-cause analysis, propose effective solutions and understand and apply business vision and direction.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Professional products required
  • MatLab, SharePoint and other related software experience strongly preferred
  • Preferred 15+ Years working with advanced DoD Programs of similar scale, scope and complexity
  • General knowledge of F-35 JPO program and sustainment activities
  • Minimum of 7+years actively working with PHM concepts and systems, including:
    • Machine learning, statistical data-driven models, and associated algorithms
    • Pattern recognition and multivariate data analysis
    • Signal processing and conditioning, as well as feature extraction
  • Demonstrated success in effectively interacting with, communicating with, and supporting the priorities of senior-most leaders in government and industry
  • Exceptional interpersonal and decision-making skills
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business challenges and opportunities driven by technology and regulations unique to the Defense market
  • Broadened technical skills or developing specialized skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint). May be required to learn to use other commercial or specialized computer applications
