About this Position
Extension Technology needs a technical developer to oversee the setup, configuration, and long term strategy of web infrastructure and applications. We are looking for a self-motivated and creative problem-solver with experience and skills building Drupal-powered sites, large scale site planning, and back-end web development. In this job, the Developer will design, maintain, and constantly improve our Drupal environment, as part of the University's enterprise system, collaboratively developing solutions with the central Drupal team and online engagement opportunities for web audiences.
As part of a small but experienced technology team, the Developer is responsible for collaboratively implementing Extension's online vision for outreach, advocacy, and education via creative use and integration of University-supported tools and data.
Web development in Extension solves challenges ranging from online information and education delivery, to distributed publishing, to system stability. This position is critical to providing the development services needed to accomplish modern outreach priorities in a large organization.
The position is supervised by the Program Leader for Family Resource Management area of expertise for program direction, performance evaluation and personnel actions with input from Carver County and Scott County.
