Job Description

*This Desktop Support position will be located in Mount Laurel

Basic Function:

Sets up, configures, and supports internal and/or external networks and components related to end user computing. Maintains desktop systems, applications, security, and network configurations. Troubleshoots performance issues. Configures and deploys end user workstations and hardware. Executes upgrades and supports the implementation of new applications and equipment. Provides technical support and guidance to users. Supports and maintains cellular mobile devices and conference room technology.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology related field is preferred. 3 (Three) years of additional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Qualifications/Skills :

  • 5+ years of relevant desktop support experience
  • Excellent customer engagement skills
  • Knowledge of Service Now ticketing platform.
  • Knowledge in the use of Active Directory and SCCM.
  • Proficient in imaging and maintenance of computers.
  • Experience in an IT technical support role including executive level support.
  • Experience in the configuration and support of mobile devices (iPad, Smartphones).
  • Works with the Helpdesk in order to keep training and documentation current.
  • Knowledge of field support equipment such as Toughbooks, gateways and modems.
  • Executes and assists with projects according to approved budgets and schedules.
  • Knowledge of Conference Room technology such as Solstice, Skype and conference hardware and software.
  • Familiarity with Asset Management software.
  • Excellent at documenting technical procedures for knowledge management.

Other:

  • Valid Driver's license needed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites, Office 365 and Windows 10

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain the Desktop Support ticket queue to address issues from customers and maintain SLAs
  • Administrate Active Directory to maintain user passwords, including new hires, terminations and contractor management
  • Supports, installs, and configures desktop hardware, software and applications.
  • Conducts regular onsite visits to all SJI/SJG sites for maintenance, support and inventory checks.
  • Provide hands on technical end user support including executive level.
  • Support of all mobile devices (Ipad, IPhone, Toughbooks) Works with the Helpdesk in order to keep training and documentation current.
  • Support the mobile field workforce that uses Toughbooks, Ipads and VDI.
  • Executes and assists with projects according to approved budgets and schedules.
  • Maintains Asset Management software (WASP). Documents procedures for IT technologies to ensure proper configuration.
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and install hardware workstations.
