Job Description

Title: Registrar - The Christ College of Nursing Student Services

Shift: Full-Time, Days

This position will be located in the Student Services department at The Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences, located at 2137 Auburn Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45219.

Job Overview: The Registrar position is responsible for providing efficient, timely and personable service to students, while maintaining accurate student academic records. This position provides leadership to plan, organize and manage all activities related to student records and registration.

The Registrar may perform the following duties:

  • Leadership in student service
    • Processes student change of status requests (name, address, etc.) and change of major requests (course withdrawals)
    • Issues academic transcripts for The Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences
    • Fulfills Enrollment Verification Requests for insurance and student loan purposes
    • Responds to student issues relating to registration and graduation
    • Oversees the registration process and class scheduling for all students, including add/drop and course withdrawal.
    • Prepares credit evaluation and notifies students on transfer credit issues.
    • Certifies degree completions, posting degrees, and processing diplomas
    • Works alongside administration, faculty, and staff to improve services to students
  • Collaboration
    • Coordinates with the chief academic officer and director of student success to plan a class schedule that best accommodates the student population.
    • Assists with revision of the College Catalog.
    • Contributes to development of the strategic enrollment plan
    • Creates and publishes the academic calendar.
    • Participates in ongoing professional development.
  • Operational Efficiency
    • Oversees degree audits
    • Conducts and disseminates current and historical enrollment data as requested
    • Develops policy, practices and procedures in compliance with all Federal and State regulatory requirements.
    • Creates, implements, and evaluates new internal processes.
    • Manages and improves the on-line registration, grade processing, transcripts, and student class schedule through the student information system.
  • Miscellaneous
    • Performs other duties as assigned

Education: Bachelor's degree in related field required. Master's degree preferred.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in higher education is required.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Attention to detail and timelines is critical.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, recommend action steps and manage change process.
  • Proficiency in report generation, including determining content, programming, analysis of content, and recommending a course of action based on data.
  • Outstanding computer and analytical skills. Proficiency in technology and the use of integrated systems.
  • Experience in budge development and management.
  • Ability to accurately and confidentially manage academic and financial data.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • High commitment to proactive customer service with students and co-workers.
  • Flexibility, positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Complete understanding of confidentiality and FERPA requirements.
  • Membership in professional organizations is expected upon appointment.
