TokioMarine HCC - MIS Group has an exciting opportunity for an Actuarial Analyst in our office located in Indianapolis, IN.

Working with unique health and property/casualty blend of insurance products will assure that you are consistently learning and growing your skill set.

Performance Objectives:

  • You will prepare and analyze monthly reserving for each product line and underwriting year to ensure adequate IBNR reserves
  • Research and develop and validate methodologies to identify base costs for non-healthcare businesses
  • Prepare actuarial support for rate filings/ regulatory approvals
  • Develop analytics for both U.S. and International claims costs
  • Support other departments to contribute to business needs and changes as they occur via data retrieval, analysis and decision making
  • Develop pricing assumptions for various benefit changes/new plan/group underwriting requests as needed

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, a related field, or the equivalent education and/or experience
  • Minimum of two actuarial exams
  • Possess and have ability to apply knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy
  • Advanced organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledgeable of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to applicable area of the Company's business to proactively respond to changing business environment
  • Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, SQL Server, PowerPoint, Word)
