General Notes

This position may be required to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends. This position is a one year position.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Turf and Grounds in daily maintenance of athletic playing surfaces and surrounding common areas. Maintenance and upkeep of both natural grass and synthetic sport fields. Mowing, string trimming, and use of sports turf maintenance equipment on a daily basis.

  • Painting of logos and marking of fields for practice and events with airless paint rigs/aerosol paints. Setup and breakdown of playing surfaces for practices and home games.

  • Herbicide, plant protectant, and fertility applications throughout facilities and surrounding common areas. Moisture management on turf and dirt skinned areas.

  • Assist coaches and staff with setups of fields for camp activities. Assist other field managers in maintenance of playing surfaces. Assist in facility preparation and cleanup for events.

Required Qualifications

High School Graduation or GED, one year of experience in athletic physical education facility or athletic equipment management and one year of experience in supervisory capacity, thorough knowledge of use and care of various athletic equipment. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

More than one year of experience in athletic physical education facility or athletic equipment management. More than one year of experience in supervisory capacity.

Salary Range

$24000 + depending on qualifications
