    Summary

    VAPAHCS is a teaching hospital with an affiliation with the Stanford University School of Medicine which provides a rich academic environment including medical training for physicians in virtually all specialties and subspecialties.     Position Description Title/PD#: Supervisory General Engineer/7075-A
    Physical Requirements: Work involves walking, bending, climbing, crawling, or reaching to inspect buildings in various stages of construction. Occasional travel and long working days or weekends is required, and physical stamina may be necessary. The work includes on-site reviews and monitoring activities which may place the incumbent in situations requiring caution to avert health and safety hazards (e.g., inspecting construction sites and Federal facilities, etc.). Some field work may be required.

    The major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Manages construction projects to include design and construction process.
    • Prepares Scope of Work for Architect/Engineer service contracts.
    • Plans technical and administrative work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets priorities and schedules for completion of work.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
