This position is responsible for coordinating the total nursing care of assigned patients including assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation. The RN is responsible for delegating and supervising the job classes of: Patient Care Technician and LPN. The RN assists in the orientation of new staff and clinical supervision of nursing students. This position has exposure to body fluids and communicable disease common to dialysis. The majority of work time is spent standing and/or walking of short distances, with frequent pushing, pulling, and lifting of up to 100 lbs., as well as occasional carrying of up to 25 lbs. Heavy transferring, pushing and pulling of patients weighing up to 200lbs. is occasionally required. Both adult and geriatric patients are provided dialysis treatments in center.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED Arkansas RN license, CPR
SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL AND SKILL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and licensed to work in the state of Arkansas. Completion of CPR is required. Good interpersonal skills required to interact effectively with patients, physicians, facility staff and families.
