Valmet is where talented professionals from a wide variety of backgrounds come together to serve the customer. We're looking for a professional to join our team and serve as the Valmet site representative supporting the Valmet Automation systems at site.
As a site resident, you will be an active part of the customer's site team, participating in team meetings and providing activity reports to the site team as requested by them. You may also be called upon to present performance results to mill and Valmet personnel that document and demonstrate value to the customer based on your services at site. The location of this site is Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
Good interpersonal skills are a must. Our site residents interact confidently and comfortably through a positive customer relationship management attitude with customer personnel ranging from operators and maintenance personnel to upper mill management.

Generally, you can expect to self-manage your day-to-day schedule with minimal supervision. You will be asked to provide remote site support by answering questions over the telephone or remotely connecting to the site after normal work hours, or on a weekend occasionally. There will be times when you will be asked to go to site after hours or on weekends to resolve an issue.
You will be responsible for the day to day upkeep and maintenance of Valmet's analytical equipment at site. This equipment is vital to our advanced process control systems that lead to cost saving for our customers. Some of the daily tasks will include pH calibrations and checks along with maintaining our analyzers and keeping them correlated to the lab.
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Technical discipline. An Associate's degree in similar disciplines or individuals with a related combination of practical experience will also be considered. Knowledge of Word and Excel is a must. Recent college graduates, as well as experienced individuals with electromechanical and instrumentation backgrounds, are encouraged to apply. Applicants must have a valid driver's license and passport. Occasional domestic travel to other locations in the US or International locations is possible.
