Major Duties

Manage domestic freight spend - update LTL(less-than-truckload) routing guides, coordinate damage freight claims, track and reduce premium freight, review and reduce UPS accessorial charges. Review and optimize international air and ocean freight lanes. Assist in refining military contract compliance program - implement recordkeeping system and review and update ECCN (Export Classification Control Number)and ITAR (International Traffic and Arms Regulations) classifications. Assist in refining import compliance program - implement recordkeeping system, and review and update HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) codes. Assist in NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement) solicitation from suppliers and coordinate NAFTA requests from customers. Coordinate implementation of lean purchasing programs with buyers and suppliers - Parker PHconnect system and supplier kanban pull systems. Assist senior buyers with expedites and order placement.
