The Position:

We are seeking a Summer Engineering Intern to support our Production Initiatives.

Essential Accountabilities:

  • Learn about our current manufacturing processes
  • Work with operations to implement a Tool Log and create standard work that provides tool and process history
  • Work with CAPA relating to ISO gap analysis
  • Kaizen event relating to Machine Performance Improvement
  • Project Information Document (PID) conversion project
  • Auditing processes for improvement opportunities
  • Variety of other projects

Qualifications:

  • Currently working towards Bachelor Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with at least two years of college and/or 3-6 months of experience
  • Highly motivated self-starter and ability to work independently
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Multi-tasking capabilities
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks

The Location:

This position is located in Plymouth, MN. Placon also has manufacturing operations in Madison WI: West Springfield, MA; and Elkhart, IN.
