General Summary

The Data Analytics and Reporting Intern provides support to the Data Analytics team. This position may interface directly or indirectly with employees at all levels.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Analyze business data
  • Perform analysis on findings using Excel and SQL.
  • Prepare summary of findings in PowerPoint.
  • Collaborate with team on potential operational changes that will improve results.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior level management.
  • The experience you will acquire during the program:
  • Interacting with a collaborative team in a corporate environment.
  • Analytical skills and root cause analysis.
  • Presenting findings to senior management.
  • Exposure to the developing 5G fixed wireless broadband ecosystem.
  • Introduction to SQL for data analysis.
  • Introduction to ESRI geographic information systems

Job Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year university with a 3.0 GPA or better, at least one year (30 credit hours) completed.
  • Business or Computer Science program, preferred.
  • Strong computer skills required. Above average skills with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint a must.
  • Comfortable speaking in front of authoritative figures.
  • Six to twelve months work experience.

Working Conditions

  • Employee remains in the sitting position for prolonged hours. Employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Working conditions may include being in an open (shared) cubicle/workspace area.
