Primary Function

We are currently seeking a HRIS/Compensation Intern. This position is located in Columbus, Ohio.

Provides overall support to both HRIS and Compensation. Partners with team and stakeholders on HR system usage, functionality, data requirements and design for process improvement. Assists in the development and administration of Battelle's compensation systems which include base and variable pay.

Major Responsibilities

  • Provides HR system support and solutions to include design, development, testing, maintenance, reporting and integration.
  • Runs existing reports and develops ad hoc reports to support data requests from internal clients.
  • Communicates effectively to identify problems, resolve inquires and derive appropriate system and/or process solutions.
  • Reviews existing job descriptions to determine if updates/modifications are needed.
  • Supports with annual compensation processes.
  • Assists with ongoing project work.

Position Requirements

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in human resources, information technology, or business administration.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Prior co-op or intern experience preferred, but not required
