We are looking for an MBA student to help define a strategy for several natural plant-based products that replace ingredients derived from petrochemicals for the cosmetics industry. Elevance Renewable Sciences, Inc is Headquartered in Woodridge, Ill., and creates novel, high-performing specialty chemicals from renewable feedstocks using a proprietary Nobel Prize-winning olefin metathesis technology. These chemical building blocks are used in a wide range of applications, including detergents, coatings, personal care, oil field, agricultural chemicals and engineered polymers. Elevance uses a collaborative business model, exploring opportunities to engage with industry leaders, accelerating time to market and leveraging market expertise while enabling its partners to achieve growth through sustainable and higher performing solutions.
The ideal candidate will have an interest in the cosmetic industry and potentially some strategy/ consulting experience and the desire to work with an entrepreneurial team.
Elevance currently has products in the B2B market and these can be used to create silicone-free formulations that rival commercial silicone-containing products, enabling end-product claims for vegan, gluten-free, mineral oil/petroleum-free, paraben free, silicone-free, and ethical animal treatment. We expect that the candidate will be able to leverage Elevance's experience to create a direct to consumer business model and potentially start implementing that strategy.
