We are seeking highly motivated students to work and train in our business so we can develop a pipeline of future managers for Delaware North at Globe Life Park in Arlington. This paid practicum will fulfill the requirements in the following courses -
HAMG 2267 Practicum - Hospitality Administration/Management
CHEF 1264 Practicum - Culinary Arts/Chef Training
Hospitality Administration/Management Students: Exposure to FOH management with Concessions, Clubs/Restaurants, Catering, In-Seat and Suites operations. In addition, learn about BOH operations such as purchasing and warehousing.
Culinary Students: Assignment to a designated kitchen and rotate through different areas of the kitchen/operations, including pantry, cold & hot line, catering banquets, menu development, food and wine pairing, purchasing, and stewarding.
  • These guided hospitality administration and culinary experiences are paid. Responsibilities
Interns will be expected to perform duties as assigned by his/her direct supervisor, as well as the required functional responsibilities of the position, which may include: supervise the activities of assigned food and beverage or retail personnel, schedule employees, ensure quality of employee performance, handle disciplinary matters, assist with food and beverage functions, assist in preparation of various operational reports, help to maintain cash and inventory control, maintain positive customer relations and ensure that high service standards are met. The TCC Practicum is available to Tarrant Country College students enrolled in the following practicums:
HAMG 2267 Practicum - Hospitality Administration/Management
CHEF 1264 Practicum - Culinary Arts/Chef Training
Once you are placed in the practicum program, your performance and progress will be reviewed on a regular basis by unit management and a TCC professor. Upon completion of the degree, students who are successful may be placed in a permanent position with Delaware North.
