Job Description

What started as a sketch on a napkin is now our world-class software platform that combines cutting-edge technology with outstanding client service and premier wealth management capabilities. Shareworks by Morgan Stanley is designed to simplify the complexities of equity plan management, while helping employees realize the full potential of their benefits.

We currently have full-time, permanent opportunities for both Business Development Representatives and Sales Development Representatives for our Private Markets teams in Sandy, UT and San Francisco, CA.

What's the difference between the two?

The Business Development Representative - Private Markets (BDR) is a passionate salesperson who helps identify new sales opportunities. You are responsible for developing relationships with prospective customers and identifying new sales opportunities. The BDR will generate qualified prospects using outbound efforts such as cold calling, cold e-mailing, social selling and networking.

The Sales Development Representative - Private Markets (SDR) will be a primary driver of expanding our business and sharing the value of what we provide to prospective clients. You will qualify the increasing volume of leads from marketing activity while also working with our sales team to actively prospect into named accounts.

You want us to make it even easier, how about this: The BDR will fill up the top of the sales funnel and the SDR will qualify those leads, nurture them and can also close some of them.

Qualifications and Characteristics:

  • Experience in an inside sales role, preferably in B2B and preferably in software
  • Ambitious and self-motivated with comfort in a quota-carrying environment (prior sales experience isn't necessary but it is a bonus!)
  • Willingness to lead a high volume of outbound calling and emailing activities every day - while maintaining a positive and energetic attitude
  • Flexible availability to ensure prospect inquiries are addressed in a timely manner across North American time zones
  • University graduates preferred
  • Ability and ideally experience navigating corporate structures to identify decision makers
  • Understanding of Salesforce desired, but not required
  • Additional languages highly desired, but not required
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills required

Because we are a global organization, you'll routinely hear English, French, Spanish, Dutch, German, Cantonese and other languages spoken in our offices. Our offices are all about diversity and what unites us is a commitment to quality. We're all passionate people who bring our best in support of a singular focus, to be the global leader in our industry.

While we thank all applicants for their interest in a career with Solium, please note that only those individuals selected for an interview will be contacted.
