As part of the UCSF Core Immunology Laboratory (CIL) at SFGH, the Staff Research Associate I (SRA I) will perform: lymphocyte isolation and cryopreservation; assays of immune phenotype and function; enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays; flow cytometer operation; and analysis of flow cytometry data. Under direct supervision with training provided, the SRA I will fulfill the need for additional technical support for on-going studies and planned studies. In addition, this position will provide support to industry collaborations.

The Core Immunology Laboratory provides specimen processing support for studies of the pathogenesis and treatment of HIV / AIDS and other immune disorders; training and education in flow cytometric and immune-based assays, and development, optimization and standardization of new assays for Clinical Research studies.
