Provide technical support and assistance to the principal investigator's research and experiments in cancer biology. Topics involve whole genome screening using cutting edge technology for new cancer drivers, evaluation of new cancer therapy targets, epigenetics, patient-derived cancer cell lines, and PDX models. Techniques utilized/learned include molecular and cell biology protocols, animal handling, breeding, injections and other treatments of mice.
Perform molecular and cellular biology experiments related to cancer biology with instruction
Coordinate and perform procedures that are related to experiments involving with the animals
Maintain the animals and colonies including breeding.
Order lab supplies and organize laboratory
Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry or related scientific area is required. A working knowledge of basic laboratory techniques and instrumentation is required with at least one year of relevant laboratory experience. Previous molecular biology laboratory experience is required. Experience in animal handling in biomedical research , or willingness to learn these techniques required. Communication skills, troubleshooting and interpersonal skills; and experience in writing technical documents, SOPs, is required
