    About the Position: This position is located at the Omaha District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, employs about 1,350 employees at projects and offices throughout a 700,000-square-mile area of the Missouri River Basin. The district office is located in downtown Omaha and is just blocks from the Missouri River and minutes from the city's wide array of parks, museums, historic sites, restaurants, recreation and entertainment venues.


    • Develop and interpret policies relating to permit applications, jurisdiction, compliance, and enforcement cases for activities in waters of the US within the regulatory authority of the Clean Water Act and the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899.
    • Assist in the development of general permits (GPs).
    • Assist in the development of procedures to implement directives from higher authority.
    • Serve as a District representative on various groups and task forces with missions of interest to the District and/or the regulatory program.
    • Assist regulatory field offices with permit workload including pre-application consultation, evaluation of applications, mitigation and monitoring of permit compliance.
