Job Description:
  • Perform functional, behavioral, developmental and other assessments for clients with ASD and other developmental disabilities
  • Develop and supervise in=home and community-based behavioral treatment plans for individuals with ASD, developmental, emotional, and cognitive disorders
  • Monitor intervention plans via direct observation, parent consult, trends in data, and video analysis, and evaluate their efficacy
  • Modify, update and amend individual treatment plans based on progress (or lack of progress
  • Manage, coordinate, and train ABA Interventionists
  • Utilize social skills training, cognitive and behavioral therapy techniques, group therapy, Pivotal Response Training, Picture Exchange Communication System, and Social Stories to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • Implement parent education with empirically validated trainings for new and current interventionists
  • Lead and attend meeting and facilitate ongoing trainings for new and current interventionists
  • Function as a liaison between Xcite Steps, clients, teachers, health care providers, and therapists
  • Attend Individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings to assist with the development of goals, present level of performance evaluations, and criteria for IEP goals and IFSP and transition meetings.
  • Complete ongoing data analysis and periodic progress reports that demonstrate progress towards goal mastery and recommendations for services, as needed
  • Manage and organize client files as required by ethical and legal standards
  • Maintain open lines of communication with colleagues, clients, and staff, and respond to all phone calls or email correspondence within a professional and timely manner, i.e. 24 hours or less
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA); Licensed Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Psychologist preferred.
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in early childhood education/development, early childhood special education, special education, psychology or related field
  • Two years of related professional experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in a multi-disciplinary team setting preferred.
  • Expertise in approaches to intervention based on the science of Applied Behavioral Analysis. Competent in employing and directing behavior analytic methodologies including Pivotal Response Training (PRT), Natural Environment Teaching (NET), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), and functional behavior assessment (FBA), Verbal Behavior, Social Skills Training
  • Expert knowledge of scientifically validated methodologies and approaches found to benefit children with ASD; familiar with current related research findings.
  • Familiar with the field of early intervention
  • Knowledge of other community resources and agencies that serve children
  • Expertise in all empirically evaluated assessment and intervention strategies related to program and service delivery for individuals with ASD
  • Strong clinical, administrative, and leadership skills
  • Ability to maintain customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions
  • Demonstrate good judgment, decision=making, and communication skills with a variety of individuals and groups. Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Must relate well to children and their families
  • Very good working knowledge in all applicable computer programs (Microsoft Office).
  • Ability to pass background/fingerprint clearance, health screenings and provide/obtain immunizations
  • Reliable transportation, proof of valid California driver's license, safe driving record, proper auto insurance and vehicle registration
  • Knowledge, experience and ability to independently perform Functional Behavior Assessments and document assessment results
  • Knowledge, experience and ability to independently develop and modify treatment plans for clients with ASD
