This position is located in the Casper Field Office which manages approximately 1.4 million acres of BLM-administered surface land and 4.7 million acres of mineral estate. The area has a rich history and a variety of recreational opportunities.

Duties listed are for the full performance level GS-11. You will advise and provide expertise on lands and realty related matters. Case work includes a full array of realty actions, primarily energy-related Right of Way (ROW) applications. You will also work on land disposals, acquisitions, withdrawals, revocation, classifications; lands use permits, leases, renewals, assignments and trespass detection and abatement.
If filled at the GS-09 level, assignments will be less complex and work will be more closely supervised.
Physical Demands: May lead or conduct on-site examinations which would include some walking, standing, bending and physical exertion. Onsite visits require the ability to traverse remote rough country by cross country vehicles or on foot sometimes in extreme weather conditions. The field duties of this position require that the employee operate a four-wheel drive vehicle.
Work Environment: Work is performed in both office and field settings. Field work may be performed in remote areas in all types of weather conditions and is often performed alone.
