Job Description

  • Develop social media content calendar and produce content for on-time delivery.
  • Create (write, produce, shoot, edit) video content for social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
  • Collaborate with various internal park departments to determine stories for video production.
  • Execution and management of daily production and post-production tasks, editing and web delivery ability to meet required deadlines.
  • Monitor social media, manages online event postings and other Six Flags America website updates as necessary.
  • Take photos/videos of park events.
  • Coordinate the Six Flags Friends charitable program and media ticket requests.
  • Assist with all park photo, b-roll shoots and media hits.
  • Attend and participate in all scheduled program meetings and workshops.
  • Work with assigned group to develop and present business proposal related to improving guest and team member satisfaction.
  • Assists in the planning and execution of special events, media visits, radio and television remotes
  • Assist with radio & print trade programs
  • Update event signage for events, promotions and marketing inside the park
  • Internship time frame is flexible. Able to develop tasks around required course work.
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications

  • Educational or work experience related to marketing, social media, public relations.
  • Must have completed at least 30 credit hours at an accredited university or college in related field.
  • Will be required to show proof of enrollment in related degree program with at least a 2.5 grade point average.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products, Adobe Suite including Premiere.
  • Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills while working in a demanding, ever changing and potentially stressful environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions while on foot for long periods of time.
  • Must have the ability to stand, walk, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel and lift up to forty pounds occasionally.
  • Required to work various shifts as project and park needs dictate, including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to drive park vehicles on & off property.
