Job Description

Christiana Care Health System is seeking a full-time Women's Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a large hospital based OB/GYN faculty practice, including physicians, residents, PA's, and APN's. There will be an evening hours expectation along with provision of services in Ob/Gyn Triage at Christiana. Up to 1-2 evening/week (12-8:30). The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will function in provision of care to low risk women seeking prenatal services, family planning, obstetric, and Gyn care. Responsible for women's health care in the areas of health education, family planning, STD screening, obstetrical care, and pre conceptual counseling. Provide direct management and ambulatory healthcare to adolescent and adult women seeking OB/Gyn services under the appropriate medical supervision and planning care within established protocols, guidelines, and procedures

Requirements:

  • Master's degree as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse -NP or graduate from an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program and have NCCPA certification
  • Licensure or license eligible as a physician assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse - FNP as set forth by the state of Delaware
  • Prescriptive authority required in Delaware
  • Certification in BLS & PALS
  • Certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring within one year of hire.
  • Three years' experience as WHNP or CNM preferred.
