Speech Language Pathologist
Job Description The Speech Language Pathologist at MD Anderson Cancer Center is to be an active member of the Head and Neck Center Health care team by the evaluation and treatment of patients with swallowing, cognitive and or communication deficits of functional and/or organic origin. They impact patient care through the evaluation and treatment of speech, language, cognitive, voice and/or swallowing disorders. They provide comprehensive evaluations of patients, develop and administer the plan of care consistent with area(s) of deficit, initiate referrals and convey recommendations to the appropriate resource/agency, and maintain appropriate records (progress notes, IPOCTR, etc.) of activity and services provided.
The ideal candidate will have experience in an acute care setting.

We treat head and neck cancers with a diverse team of oncologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists, neuro-radiologists, dental oncologists and plastic surgeons with special training in head and neck cancers. Our team of specialized speech pathologists, audiologists and prosthodontists help maintain or restore speech, swallowing and hearing abilities after treatment.

Salary Range: $68,800 - $86,000 - $103,200
Required: Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.

- Certification or eligible for Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
- Licensure or eligible for Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the Texas State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
