Position Summary:

Responsible for management and introduction of Packaging manufacturing lines into Third Party Manufacturing facility. Leads and participates in design, planning and introduction of Packaging production lines. The position provides technical leadership, project management and mentoring to engineers and team members. Drives activities at the supplier(s) to ensure that production start-up through to scale up to increased volumes are achieved within ADC requirements.

Independently plan and conduct small to medium-size assigned projects requiring conventional types of plans, investigations and/or equipment. manages multiple often concurrent projects.

Independently design and lead complex engineering studies and experiments often with multiple variables.

Analyze complex problems and identify their impact. establish probabilities. draw conclusions reflecting broad business needs. set complex design and process requirements.

Responsible for completing documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with business standards.

Lead and/or participate on cross-functional teams to support organizational goals.

Other tasks and duties as assigned.

Solves problems with a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials and difficult coordination requirements.


Bachelor's degree (preferably in Engineering, science or a closely related discipline is desired). Mechanical / Electromechanical or Software degree preferred or equivalent technical experience and demonstrated competence; additional post-graduate education may contribute toward the desired years of experience; typically requires 5+ years of significant engineering and / or operational experience to develop the competence to meet the skills and responsibilities of the position; Engineers trained in one branch of the Engineering field may work in related branches of engineering provided demonstrated transferable skills.

Preferred Technical Skills:
Experience with high speed packaging automation lines including experience with labelling, cartoning, case packaging, T&T systems, and line control systems.

Experience in FAT, SAT, commissioning & validation of Packaging equipment in medical device environment.

Experience in testing and debugging issues on high volume equipment and process.

Proven track record in applying continuous improvements projects.

Experience in documenting procedures associated with medical device processes & equipment.
