The Bon Secours Young Adults (BSYA) Program Coordinator assists the Program Manager in implementing the Young Adult Ministry of the Sisters of Bon Secours, USA. Responsibilities include: accompanying young adults on their faith journey; planning and coordinating programs and events for and with the BSYA membership; collaborating and coordinating with local parishes and Archdiocesan young adult ministries; working to promote Vocations to the Sisters of Bon Secours; managing social media accounts and membership databases; and developing young adult leaders.
This position reports to the Program Manager, Bon Secours Young Adult Ministry.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAs with all employees of the Sisters of Bon Secours, USA - promotes throughout Bon Secours Young Adults the Mission Focus of the Sisters of Bon Secours: "...to defend and care for all of creation; to cry out with others against injustice and all that diminishes life on Earth."
Attends and regularly updates the Bon Secours Young Adults Advisory Board
Assists the Bon Secours Young Adults Core Leadership Team in program planning and logistics
Coordinates specific events with, and for, the BSYA members in Baltimore and Washington, DC with a specific focus on small group faith-sharing opportunities and service projects
Identifies and implements tools for enhanced member engagement, including: building a sense of community among the young adults and nurturing leadership within local, existing, networks, digital engagement through social media, and feedback and data collection analysis of program satisfaction
Identifies service sites and service opportunities which express the Bon Secours charism of being "Good Help,"; both within the Congregation and in the greater Baltimore/Washington DC area. Prepares these sites and opportunities to partner with BSYA for service events and trips and, if applicable, to mentor BSYA volunteers. Leads recruitment for and supports local young adults through these service opportunities and trips
Develops and distributes prayer and faith formation resources to BSYA members to assist them in their faith formation and leadership development
Assists with recruitment strategies for new members
Maintains good communication and collaborative relationships within the Vocation/ Formation/ Young Adults offices, and with the shared administrative support and other Bon Secours ministries
Manages BSYA membership and promotional databases, and keeps records as required
