As a Service Technician, you are a key member of our team responsible for the quality and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of appliances and other equipment. You also develop new customers by identifying opportunities to sell additional work. Exemplifying our code of values, you show respect and courtesy to all customers and employees.

This position is right for you if you are self-motivated, have a knack for troubleshooting, and are able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines. Ideally, you have some sales experience as well as proven communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers.

Specific Responsibilities:
Install home appliances/equipment

Accurately diagnose and repair appliances/equipment in the customer's home

Observe functioning of installed equipment or systems to detect hazards and need for adjustment relocation, or replacement

Test continuity of currents to ensure electric compatibility and safety of components with testing instruments such as ohmmeter and amprobe

Complete all required documentation, including but not limited to time cards, work orders, core return and gas receipts

Maintain truck stock inventory within the prescribed company guidelines and standards, follow the truck maintenance schedule and keep a clean, organized truck

Perform all tasks using the computerized system on hone/I-pad computer using company provided software systems for all invoicing and parts lookups.

Perform these duties in a consistent, detailed, and highly professional manner. The Appliance Repair Technician performs services that equal or exceed company and customer quality standards, and is alert to additional service opportunities that may benefit the customer.

Provide cost estimates for repairs/installations and collect payment and/or payment information from customers for work performed

Ensure the efficient use of materials

Complete invoices, daily route sheets, and weekly reports as required

Perform other duties as needed which may include cross-training in related positions

Job Requirements:
Strong customer service skills

Experience as an Appliance Repair technician with desired experience with the following: Sub-zero, Wolfe, Thermador, Fisher & Paykel, Bosch, Viking, Miele, Thor, Bertazzoni, La Cornue, Dacor, as well as Maytag, GE, Samsung, Whirlpool, Frigidaire, KitchenAid, LG

Commerical appliance repair experience a plus

High school graduate or equivalent

Type I EPA certification a plus

Ability to complete written or computerized reports of installation with accuracy

Complete invoices, daily route sheets, and weekly reports, as required

Perform other duties as needed which may include cross-training in related positions

Pass all assessments/inventories administered during the hiring and training process

Valid, unrestricted driver's License with clean record

Must be at least 18 years of age

Proficiency to navigate tablet-based technology

The ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis, and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis without assistance and the physical ability to perform strenuous work under varied circumstances

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop kneel, crouch, crawl, or squeeze into tight spaces; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
